Yesterday I saw people walking to market. There were women and teenage girls and younger carrying large bundles on their backs. . . many of them for several miles. Everyone walks everywhere they go. We are very spoiled in America. The horses that they have for pulling their carts look like walking skeletons.
On the right is a picture of a statue that is right in the middle of the farm at Kokosa. It looks like a soldier. I will have to find out what it is doing there so that I can tell you when I get home.
Below is a picture of the children from the Village of Hope, most of them are orphans. They work hard so they can have food to eat. Each one has their own little garden.

ReplyDeleteI was so taken back by the feeling that overcame me as I read your emails to the children and studied your pictures. I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am to be part of your family. You are doing such a wonderful work. I can see why Heavenly Father inspired Lonny to desire this very important position. I am so proud, and yet humbled to know that you are helping so many people. Please take care of yourselves. I know it must be difficult to be separated from the each other, but I know in my heart that blessings will flow as a result of the sacrafices you each are making,being so far apart.
